The word Rishi itself means a MAntra Drastha Seer.. which means a Seer who can see the VEDA itself and also the see the Mantra Artha.

A rishi again is no ordinary person but is one who has 20 lakshanas or more..

these qualities differentiate him from others..

Hence all the 1000s of rishis who have given the veda to us have all Realised and Seen the VEDAS..

We have a unbroken chain of Parampara... hence VEDa is known to be unauthored..

Veda is all pervasive and has been known to exist from time immemorial and will exist for time eternal..

the eternal vedas are stored in the Manas of Brahman(Vishnu) the Supreme Pratipadya Diety of the VEDAS..

Vishnu is sarva sabdha vachya and is the main goal of the VEDAS in parama mukhya vritti...
